dawnrose

sea sick

a durational performance created for FLOTSAM & JETSAM organised by Peppy Barlow, a founder member of WOVEN Theatre Company, at Landguard Fort, Felixstowe 16 June 2013.

SEA SICK was created to reflect upon the amount of plastic encountered each time dawnrose goes scuba diving.

the seas are the earth's powerplant which we are inexorably clogging up. Plastic is made to last using chemicals. It decays very slowly to form micro-plastic too small for the human eye to see or the sea's wildlife to discriminate either as a solid or for its toxic chemical effects.
